Our first match of the 2009 season is scheduled to kick off at 1pm this Saturday at Lion’s Park at Lac Brome. Kick off is set for 1pm. Everyone playing MUST be at the ground no later then 11am.

Directions to the Game

Directions to Lions’ Park, Knowlton, Quebec

  There are many ways to get to the Lions’ Park, but the following directions are the ones Brome Lake uses. 

 

-From Autoroute 10, take exit 90

-At stop, go right onto 243 South

-After Lac Brome Golf Course (3.5km) stay right and go onto 215 South, also called Bondville Road

-Continue past Inverness Golf Course (5.7km) and at four corners turn left onto Bondville Road

-3.2km to stop, turn left onto Centre Road

-Lions’ Park is 300m ahead on the right

Here are the details of saturdays game vs. St. Lambert Locks.
 
Who: Westmount vs. St Lambert
When: Saturday, May 23rd 3:30 pm kick off
Where: Murray Hill (Practice ground)
 
Team breakfast will be at Tutti Frutti on the corner of Ste. Catherine and Atwater around 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm.
Please be at the field for 2:00 pm for field set-up, warm up and etc.

Training is on tonight at 6:30. For those who require further stretching come about 6pm and Ray will go through some of the stretches

This weekend will be the final of the Heineken Cup. The Final will be played at Murrayfield Stadium and the teams will be Leicester and Leinster.  This week we will show you some highlights of these two teams.

Westmount Rugby is now on twitter.  Hopefully, in the coming days we will the Twitter account synchronized with the website.

This Week there will be three training sessions. The first training session will be at Murray Hill at 2 pm on Monday and then training will be at the usual time and place for Tuesday and Thursday. There is two weeks left until our first game so make the effort to come and train.

Training this week is at Murray Hill on Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm sharp. We start training at 6.30pm so don’t be late!  You will need to bring your own drinking water as the water fountain at the field is not working.

Thanks for those who attended the Westmount Fund raiser on the Weekend (Hatton v Pacquiao)!  Though Hatton may have raised more money that night we had more fun even with the Karaoke singing.  Thanks to Tony and Don for organising the event.  

The Poker champ that night was Don but he was handing the chips and his stack kept growing with out winning a hand for the longest time ;)

Westmount Rugby training times have changed! The new day and time is  Tuesday & Thursday`s at 6.30pm and we return to our home training ground at Murray Hill. Training sessions will be at this ground for the rest of the season. The field can be found at the corner of Avenue Westmount and Murray Hill street, Westmount.  New comers to the club are welcome to come down for a run!

This is also a reminder to bring along your completed form and payment for this seasons fees. No Pay and it is orange / water boy for the season.

Our Club is founded on strong team spirit and friendship and one of our departing members Red Shannon wrote a fanastic article for the Westmount Examiner. Thanks Red for the great article we will miss your 8ft frame winning the line outs and good luck with future Endeavours.
